Close-ups

A beautiful morning on Utah Lake. Took some close-ups.

A winch, a cleat, and the correct way of cleating a rope.

Compass and angle combo; sailing a little bit south of a westerly course, tilted about 7 degrees...nice and easy.

I love the way the canvas bends in the wind. This is one of the only ways you can see the shape of the air around you.

Claire and Jane have matching pink "Lady Fishers" by Shakespeare. Best rod on the boat.

Pelican safety cable...because the clasp looks like a pelican?

The fuse panel and submersible radio, although not ever planning to submerse it.

60-horses of outboard...when it's time to really move. But come on, it's a sailboat!!!

My version of auto-pilot; reliable and very inexpensive.

Rolling furller for the jib sail. The no-swet solution for getting more square feet of canvas in the wind (or out of it too). Just pull the rope.

This is the halyard line...and the right way of coiling it when under sail.
